The current US President Trump has signed a decree pardoning former Google engineer Anthony Lewandowski, who was convicted of stealing technology from a former employer, according to CNBC.

Trump’s executive order was signed on his last full day in office, ahead of the January 20 inauguration of President-elect Biden. In addition to Lewandowski, the head of state pardoned several dozen more people.

Lewandowski was sentenced to 18 months in prison last August. The prosecution managed to prove that in 2017, before leaving Google, he copied data relating to the technology of an unmanned vehicle, which is being developed by Google’s subsidiary Waymo, to a removable medium.
